Joey Hubbard - Assistant Professor of Biology
Joey got her start studying birds as an undergraduate at the University of Arizona where she became deeply fascinated with sexual selection and animal coloration. She has worked with numerous species of passerines (song birds) examining questions related to evolution, ecology, behavior, and conservation. Currently, we are working on projects examining the effects of various environmental factors on survival, growth, and color development in barn swallows and eastern bluebirds.
